Brandy and Haven...
Brandy is the eyes behind the hand putting on team face color! HA!
Here they are awaiting instruction.

Of course you cannot miss Brandy! She's the one standing on top!
HA! Are those Top Gun sunglasses? lol
Brandy with Jeff her youth Pastor, another girl, and Haven.
She hit the plastic pole holding the ball.. hmmm...

Here we are, ready to pick her up from camp. It was a long walk from the hall to where the baptisms were taking place (and to pick up our teens). On the way, Jeremy found a cute little butterfly chillin on a small scale sunflower. (I do not know the technical flower name)

Before we took Brandy to camp, she learned that she would have an opportunity to be baptised. However, she was very head strong about waiting until her 16th birthday. We talked about not limiting God to speak to her heart about such an event. If she feels in her heart that she was going to wait, then that was ok, but not to limit the baptism to a certain age, but to stay open minded to when God puts it on her heart.
When we got to camp, we learned that she had in fact decided last night to be baptised. She was the only girl in her group who was baptized. It was amazing to see her heart change, and staying open to God and what his word teaches us to live by. It was also amazing the incredible cheers from her team when they called her name. Also the tears from her team leader. Here is the event.
Afterwards we were on our way to have Brandy change her clothes and Greg snapped a shot of her while Jeremy made his faces at the camera.
It was a long walk, and a very HOT 100 degree's out. There were a few people who called on a radio to bring a golf cart to pick us up because of the lengthy walk and I was starting to feel very tired. What a blessing!
Jeremy found a stick in the shape of a cane! Although you cannot see the whole thing! LOL
What an amazing camp! I don't remember these being talked about in my day!

Brandy states she had a wonderful time, and can't wait to go back next year. Her camp team leader said that Brandy was such a blessing and loved to just talk about anything. It's hard watching your baby grow up into a teenager, the reality of it is setting in. How awesome is it though to be able, as parents, to still be cool in front of her friends! LOL

LOL We also learned while riding back to the car that the church has family camp too! Where for a week the parents and kids sign up and have an awesome time at camp! (The parents aren't working at the camp either!!)--Family Camp starts this Fall, and this next Spring. All the girls stay in their cabins, and the guys in theirs! How fun!

Soooo awesome about Brandy being baptized!!!! :) :) It brought tears to my eyes too. :) Yay, Brandy!!
I am thrilled that Brandy had such a wonderful time at camp!!! Here I sit blowing my nose. ha! I am so happy for her that she took the big spiritual step forward even though everyone else was not doing it. She needs all the spiritual fortitude she can muster to face the coming first year of high school!
The technical name is probably sunflower. LOL
