Branson, MO Visit

So we survived our 1st night and the beginning of the day. Toy museum was so cool. Then we headed down to Branson Landing (I think that's what it is called). There was a lot of shopping along a mile stretch. I actually found Nebraska embellishments for scrap booking!! (Yes, there was a scrapbook/greeting cards shop ha!)
As we meandered down the way, we stopped at Ben and Jerry's to indulge in some yummy ice cream treats! It was extremely hot and humid so a refresher would be nice! Brandy and I opted out of ice cream and ordered a raspberry green tea with lemonade. It was SO good! Greg ordered fudge and Jeremy got a cone with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. You would think if we stopped at an ice cream parlor we would all get ice cream!!! We are weird like that I suppose.
We didn't even make it the full mile, but we were side tracked by a water/fire display. Of course we didn't stay long enough for the show to start, because we were all tired. So instead we walked on the waterfront. It was nice when the wind would blow from the water, it was a tad bit cooler!
As we were on our way to a hotel, we decided to just start driving again. Of course we had plans to visit a few more museums, but the kids voted to just get close to Omaha.
We thought if we drove to Kansas City, MO., we could find something to do there and check in to a hotel for the night. By the time we got close to Kansas, we figured that since we were only 4 hours away from our destination we would just keep driving! Here are some of the views along the way.
